How can foam be used in the process of making ceramics? That was the leading question behind Gebakken Lucht. It's a research into the possibilities of using foam as a mold for ceramics. By using the foam in combination with liquid clay, you're invited to make different shapes quicker. The liquid clay flows in the foam and hardens out. By baking these shapes, the foam burns up and you're left with a porous piece of ceramics. Applications for these new pieces would be tiles that let water through, vessels that can function as defusers and sound absorbing tiles.
